Warned not to hike...

If the guys who warned me are on here, thanks again! I was solo camping/hiking in the Teanaway forest area (Cascade area in Central Washington state). I'm a 52 year old female who often hikes, runs and camps alone. You might find that foolish but I'm very confident and have never had any issues. Anyway, I parked near the trailhead (Middle Fork Teanaway trail) and saw two guys standing outside their truck. One was my age, shirtless, tattooed and was wearing a bear tooth necklace, and the other was younger with dreadlocks. After exchanging pleasantries, they asked if I had hiked there before and I said no. They told me I might want to be careful, they had just seen fresh Squatch tracks down by the river. The older guy showed me pictures on his phone. Looked like giant barefoot prints. They realized I was alone, no weapon, and were concerned about me. I thanked them for the warning-no way was I going to hike there now! I did ask them how they noticed the tracks and the older guy identified himself as a "hunter, animal tracker, Squatch hunter and gold panner" who was often out in the mountains, following tracks. They said they heard something big in the brush near the tracks and hustled back to their truck. Something spooked these guys enough to warn me against going on this hike, and I appreciated them telling me.
