Drove nearly 200m to the green!
Family was asking what special activity I wanted today, I asked for golfing!
I have been a casual range visitor, no green card. Somebody gotta take care of the kids right? I occasionally had par-3 course visits a couple times a year for the past two of summers. My clubs are old and 2nd-hand. Do have my own driver, hubby got me about a year ago. Driving is very difficult for me. Never took a real lesson yet. Everything I know is from my hubby’s (sometimes patient) teaching.
But today! We went for a 9-hole golf course for my Mother’s Day activity. Was also my first of the season. It was a 4 par-4s and 5 par-3s. Beautiful day. On the 7th hole, a 203m fairway, I asked my coach (hubby) if it was a driver time? He said yes. That’s a good idea, as there was no dropping zone, and even if I made it fly randomly, we’ll most likely find the ball without much trouble. So I did, and… I drove to the green!!!
So happy. 😀 freaking nearly 200 meters! Okay, it was a bit downhill. But it was also head wind.
Then the 8th hole, another >200m. I said there’s no way I could do better than the last drive. Hubby said, true, not for a few years. What the heck I’d try anyway.
The I drove. And it went to a green.
Only, not my own green. But another green 😆😆😁😁🫣🫣😭😭
