Pixel 11 vs. Galaxy S26 - A REAL Day Test

I recently got done with Remake/Intermission on the Switch 2. I got it as a gift, so I felt obligated to play. I never followed the series much.
I played the original a couple years back, and only got to LV. 38 at some snow village. I felt the story felt disjointed and the dialogue somewhat forgettable, so I remember next to nothing about it. I thought it weird that Mario RPG on SNES was the more engaging offering between the two Square titles.
Remake really fleshed everything out, so I was easily more engaged. Needless to say, I enjoyed it and bought Rebirth for the PS5. I would have bought it for the Switch 2, but didn't want to wait, and it was cheaper on PS5 through Best Buy. I also wanted better performance, since Rebirth has sprawling environments. The trade-off is that I don't get to play while carpooling to and from work, meaning less time to play. My commutes are roughly 3 hours a day and I work 10-12 hour shifts.
So now my worry is this:
I hear Rebirth will be receiving an update that is supposed to be improving the lighting and stuff, bringing parity to the PC version and, surprisingly, the Switch version. The update releases June 3rd, I believe. I'm debating whether I should wait for the update, or start Rebirth now. I don't like flip-flopping between games too much, so ideally, I would like to finish Rebirth before the release of Star Fox. Star Fox is a high priority day-one game for me, which I would drop Rebirth for. I don't want to fragment my playthrough of Rebirth.
On top of my limited TV time, I tend to play games slower than average I think. All my friends play faster than me (except in Smash Bros...)
How many hours did you clock in, in your first run of the game?
TLDR:
Can I finish Rebirth before the release of Star Fox? Should I start playing now, or wait until the update?
Thanks.
