Any college students / hobby electronists with time?
Looking for hobby electronists and college students for a personal build / project.
I've come across recently a wall-mounted board with individually addressable LEDs laid out to match the city's subway and train maps, where each LED lights up in real time to show exactly where trains are on the network right now. Data pulled live from the actual live published transit authority data feed. It's basically a living, glowing transit map you can hang on your wall. There already exists something similar already, and I'm hoping to improve upon it, obviously. If this goes well, I'd like to make a couple of units and gift it to friends.
What's in it for you? Obviously - I'd pay for all the resources used. I'd support interesting experiments, and love to see where we can take this creatively. We can also come to an agreement on what your time spent on this as well. I have a few more ideas around scaling/coordinating this (batch PCB orders, splitting Pi flashing/config work, etc.) but for anything around cost breakdowns, timelines, or actually coordinating a build group — best to DM me directly.
