Okay so I've seen a number of options for migrating from iCloud + iPhone to Immich, but most of the threads are around a year old and a lot has probably changed since then

I saw one commenter say that simply using the immich app will download the high-res version of a photo to your iphone, then delete it as soon as it's uploaded to immich. That seems like the simplest route - is there some advantage to using icloudpd, PhotoSync, or some other method over this?

Hey all, trying to sync a folder with a bunch of subdirectories that's all around 13.4 gigs of photos using immch-go and this command:

.\immich-go upload from-folder --server=http://192.168.0.145:2283/ --api-key=BLAH --recursive --concurrent-tasks=1 "E:\Pictures\PC Backups"

I wind up with around 500 files that "don't reach a final state". Looking through, I've got a bunch of errors like this:

Found some posts that suggest the io: error could be the server getting slammed and to reduce the concurrent tasks down to 1, which reduced the # of files stuck "pending" but didn't get rid of the errors completely. Anyone have tips?

Hey all! Looking to essentially clone my emudeck library setup from my Steamdeck to my Steam machine - it seems easy enough to copy over my roms and bios folders but one thing I’d love to copy is my settings for which ROMs use alternative emulators

I have a bunch of arcade games I’ve painstakingly gone through and figured out which edition of MAME etc to run them on, so it would be great to not have to manually re-select those for everyone one

But I can’t find where this info is stored. I would have thought the game list.xmls but that seems to be a bust

Anyone know?

Trying to set up immich and tried to import a google takeout zip, but it threw a bunch of errors and resulted in a bunch of broken images. Any help appreciated!

I use Calibre to manage all the metadata for my library - including series data, which up until the other day worked great. But last week I bought a new book which is part of a an existing series I have set up, so I filled that out as normal in Calibre, connected my Kobo, hit "update cached metadata", ejected the Kobo, disconnected and... it's not showing up as part of the series

Tried again after polishing epub (although it did give me a warning that it was polishing the ORIGINAL_EPUB format - not sure what that's about)... still no dice.

Anyone have any troubleshooting tips here?
