Offer

Just accepted the offer I got for another job . Kinda nervous I been at fedex on and off for 6 years, lol. (With other jobs in between, of course) but I always came back, lol . It's been different lately and has gotten a bit better, but I feel like I worked harder for a minute. I run 4 doors, scan ICs , put in the truck, and load them ,sometimes more . And we do wrap up 2 trucks 4 hours in usually. Its just me and another person . We get help sometimes . But personally speaking i just felt like because I can work hard i kinda let them work me . I didnt mind the work but I didnt see many ppl handling the volume I was . I never said anything cause I never felt like I had to. That's why we have a manager walking around right , to see where they need help at. Definitely gonna be nice to put this place up for a bit hopefully lol. I figured if I can load trucks for 5 years I can do anything lol.

Besides have to squeeze between the truck and the rollers with 60lb boxes . Its not that bad . I cover 4 doors and I do overhead as well. I wish I could see how many boxes I scan throughout the day lol. And sometimes I feel like loadside should get paid a little more I get it done effectively lol.

And it's really not bad. Obviously, this isn't my only source of income, I work around 30 hours a week , 35 if i work Saturday . One thing I learned over the years is to work hard but never too hard, or they'll just keep moving you from trailer to trailer . Sometimes, you do have to say no . Otherwise, they will work you, lol. Hydration is key . Keeping food in your stomach helps to a protein bar or 2. Some people bring small lunches . As far as management goes . They're ok some more cranky than others , I understand they have lives outside fedex , but why get angry with your employees. They'll just hold resentment towards you . It's nothing like the training videos once you get out there. Just stay hydrated and work safe !
