2020 Outlander did a 2,400 km semi-off-road journey

Picked up this second-hand 2020 Outlander earlier this year to replace my 2007 model. My family and I do a 1,200 km trip to a lake every summer, so this was a great test for the car.

The route was roughly 60% paved roads and 40% dirt, gravel, and sandy roads, with some badly damaged pavement along the way.

I was impressed with how similar it felt to my old Outlander. It handled the mixed road conditions really well, stayed comfortable over the long distance, and never gave me any trouble. Looking forward to many more trips—hopefully I’ll be keeping this Outlander for at least the next five years.

Empty space next to gear shifters I could use on

This is the 2020 Outlander or 3rd gen 2012-2022. I measured the empty flat space next to the gear shifter. That's the meter measuring that is used in my country. I could use that space for a small storage box, but I couldn't find anything suitable or fitting when browsing online stores. Has anyone used that space for a similar purpose? As you know, there are practically zero storage spaces in the center console area aside from the drink holder hole. This is my second Outlander, bought a month ago, replacing an old 2007 Outlander which had space for small storage in the center console and two glove boxes in passenger dashboard, a dash top small box without needing external accessories. I will appreciate any valuable findings and suggestions.
