Hello from the Philippines!

I haven’t been as active lately because I’ve been working my way through finals (or almost-finals) week. I basically only have exams until next month, and I am now currently at 5 exams out of 27 🫪 So I’m sorry to everyone I have pending mail to that I’m afraid I won’t be able to get to until next month.

Aside from that, so many inconvenient and unfortunate things have happened in the past few weeks. Most of them are small but are comically so many and in succession that it makes you feel like the world is conspiring against you 🫩 One of our cats recently died, my laptop broke down, my favorite restaurant phased out my go-to meal, the courier almost lost my parcel and I had to check each individual mailbox in our complex, I didn’t get tickets to a concert I wanted, one side of my nose is strangely clogged all the time, it is SO hot all day every day, yada yada…

Any words of comfort would be well-appreciated, because I sure will be going through it the month after 🥲

Hello, everyone! I regularly get postcards from a shop that sources wares from Japan, so I have plenty of Japanese landscape cards that I haven’t been able to send because most people prefer cards sent from origin.

These will be coming from the Philippines! To claim, please comment below and send me a message with your address. Only five for now since I’m working through finals 😵‍💫 but I’ll see if I can send some more!

Sorry if I *still* haven’t been able to respond in chat, because everything med school is catching up with me. I might just lock my phone away for the next two months until I finish all my exams. u/PlentyComfortable239 - Thank you for the St. Patrick’s card! 🍀 The stickers are very cute. Strangely enough, it’s not celebrated in the Philippines (save for a few Irish circles) despite being a predominantly Catholic country.

If I had this view every day, I would probably be more motivated to go to class 😅 I wish I lived in a walkable city, but I am too attached to the Philippines to leave!

u/soxgal - Thank you for the flower folded card! We’ve also stopped celebrating the holidays, although we still make it a point to be complete. I do miss the times when we’d decorate Christmas trees early in the year, as early as September 🎄 I’m glad you still spend it with your parents! I can’t cook to save my life either!
