Seattle Meetup Fun

6 of us met tonight for dinner and sending postcards per the offer and a fee extras. It was the first meetup for some. The kindness of people touches my soul.

Super Mario

I bought a Super Mario activity book with lots of stickers, very cheap, and I was wondering if there are any Super Mario fans out there? I’ll decide to make cards or add the stickers as extras if I don’t see any interest. Thank you 😊

Hi everyone,

I have officially moved and no longer able to get mail at my old place. If you have the NYC address, please delete it.

Thanks,

What's your secret?

Some people have great luck at getting "Thank you" posts. I'm not one of them 😞 What's your secret?

Anyone had missent mail?

This was sent from USA to me in New Zealand via Singapore apparently! Still arrived pretty quickly, it was postmarked 1st May and received 18th May. My address was written clearly too 🙂

Your snail mail / postcards / other paper crafts set-up!

Hi friends! As the number of cards I send and receive increase, so does the mess on my desk.

So far, I haven't found a set-up that includes a nice spot for my stash of cards that will be sent someday, the "active" incoming/outgoing cards, as well as various stationary items like washi tapes, stickers, pens, and obviously envelopes and stamps.

How does everyone else do it? Please show me/us your set-up and hopefully it will inspire and motivate me to organize my space!

Sending you all love ❤️

Bought black washi and a white pen at the museum shop

I can’t wait to use this in new and different ways again and again, the possibilities are endless 🥹

Stamp puncher

Got a stamp puncher and thought I’d try it out on this TCG box to use as decoration for my cards! Now on the lookout for more things to punch 🥊

Home made cards

What’s the worst/best home made card you’ve made or received? I’m going to start making cards soon, I’m not artistic so I imagine the design will be quite simple. Thankfully this community seems very forgiving and my creations will find a home, I am grateful for that positive spirit :)

[outgoing] snail mail from an nyc meetup!

this weekend was our fourth nyc meetup with another lovely group of new and returning faces from new york and new jersey. nine of us spent the afternoon chatting, writing, and artfully decorating with lots of washi, stickers, and stamps.

fun facts: we wrote 67 cards!! it’s a record for the nyc meetups (same with attendance!). cards are making their way to 5 continents, 16 countries, and 20 states in the us!

thank you so much to everyone who attended for a cozy afternoon of snail mail!

I'm moving and I need advice!

I'm heading to the USA for university, and while I'm pretty excited, I realised that postal rates are... Not very affordable. Based on the conversion rates, I spend roughly 15 cents on each international postcard, but I believe I'll have to spend close to 2 dollars. Which means I won't be able to send as many cards as I desire, or participate in exchanges similarly :(

But, I'll still be commuting between India and the States once or twice a year, so I think the best course of action is to send cards during that time. But gah! I'll have to look into who receives my mail, etc on my behalf...

And if worse comes to worst, I guess I'll only be sending US mail to longer penpals, and India mail whenever I visit...

Any advice? Oh, and I heard you can get stamps from CVS? Is it true? I'll need all the tips and tricks coming my way!

🐞 Happy postcrossing!

Well Shoot

Just found out that I've been blocked by someone I used to exchange with. I thought they were just on break. Shoot. Apologies to anyone I've upset in this community. I hope I haven't been or come across rude to anyone. Maybe I didn't send or thank people quickly enough or claimed too many or didn't make enough offers. Aiii well I feel junk now. I'm sorry friends. :/

What do you guys do when someone fills out your form you didn't offer to? USA

I only offered to send domestic mail only and I put that in the post but someone international filled out my form anyway. I mean I'm sending it anyway cause they filled it out but I have no international stamps so I have to use the kiosk at the post office to print one out till my international stamps arrive. Luckily only 1 person did this.
