Hey, y'all. So, I'm new to handmade cards. And a lot of mine have been arriving messed up. I apologize for that.

I did my research and I think I found 2 methods for helping my cards not arrive looking like they did 10 rounds in a ring with Steve Fox. I would like to test this out.

I need you to be willing to show me the postcard when it arrives as well, so I can assess my methods properly!

Hey, y'all! I'm home and catching up on... well, everything. I'm just glad I'm not sick anymore at this point. While I was in the hospital, I discovered how much I love drawing little artworks on blank postcards.

I know I made a request the day I got sick, and I have thank yous I'm going to post tomorrow and throughout the week as things arrive! But, I wanted to see if anyone, good or bad at drawing, would be willing to draw me something on a postcard.

There's an interests lists on my profile, but if you need actual drawing inspiration:

1. Forest Law from Tekken. There isn't enough art of him in the world, Moar Krabs.

2. SpongeBob jellyfish, the LOSER Squidward meme, Doodlebob.

3. Bruce Lee because... it's Ezra. I'm Ezra. Of course he's on every list.

4. Something related to being diabetic, positive or negative.

5. A Rolling Stones logo.

6. Stick figures trying out Tekken moves.

7. Your favorite Sanrio character.

8. A bottle of apple cider vinegar being poured onto an umbrella.

9. A tomato plant.

10. A black cat pushing open a bathroom door to be an annoying little furball.

11. What really killed the dinosaurs.

12. Imma put Forest Law and Bruce Lee on the list twice because I like the number 12 but ran out of ideas.

Thank you for considering this. You don't have to be an artist to do this either. Poorly drawn things make me giggle. Poorly drawn things also go to the wall collection.

Hey, y'all! As a gift while I was in the hospital, my friend got me a big box of cancelled stamps. I plan to go through them and take what I want for my collection, but I would love to trade the ones I don't want to people that may get more happiness from them!

I can do 5 envelopes at the moment, I'm almost out of unused stamps unfortunately, but I'll probably make another exchange post once I get more!

Ahhh, TLDR, diabetes complication decided it was okay to get worse after getting better. Doctor wants me admitted. I don't wanna be bored in a place where I can't smoke/vape and pet a dog every 3 minutes.

Hey, y'all. If you saw my post a few days ago about my diabetes complication, I'm afraid to say it got better for roughly 18 hours, and today it's back with an awful vengeance. My PCP wants me to go to the ER tonight and be admitted for all the fun things they do to diabetics when their body misbehaves.

The hospital sucks no matter how long you're there for. The atmosphere, the lack of nicotine, all of it. And with me being a new type 1 diabetic, it's also a lot of being told over and over to manage my diabetes better even though this complication is totally unrelated to management and I manage just fine.

So, in order to cut the boredom and the anger, I was thinking of bringing my card making supplies with me. My only issue is that I've obviously never done that before... and I'm wondering if y'all could give me some advice on not damaging my stuff, what type of storage items would be easiest to use, and things of that nature. I have a pretty large Pink bag I plan to pack everything into, so that's covered.

Lately, making and sending out cards has been one of the highlights of living with diabetes. Out of everything that goes wrong, cards always go right. Even when they don't. It's hard to explain how much this hobby means to me these days, and how grateful I am for this hobby.

u/RigelThief x4 - I cannot thank you enough for the Japanese postcards. They're gorgeous and indeed did help my FOMO due to not being able to take my trip. They're going right in my collection, and so are the stamps. Arigato, Arisu-san! (I don't speak Japanese so hopefully that's right.)

I've been inspired to start a TFC of my own. :) This one is just for US, I'll start another one for WW after this one makes it to the first destination!

3. I dunno, I just feel like 2 rules isn't enough so lemme make something up... ah yes, third rule: don't call the card mean things and hurt its feelings.

What am I asking for? Let's exchange postcards with messages written on them that will make anyone reading it pause and go '... what?' Something trippy, a meme reference, pure gibberish as if you used Autocorrect to pick the next word, vague threats, a cypher. Just nothing illegal. Hello, everyone! I wanna say thank you so much for all the responses to my last request and my recent exchanges. :) My Sanrio wall is expected to have the chunk covered properly thanks to you wonderful people! I'm truly honored.

I was wondering if anyone from East Asian countries might be willing to send me some mail/cards/postcards? Before my life exploded with my T1D diagnosis, I was supposed to take a trip to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong this year.

As you can imagine, I didn't feel like dragging needles and doctors notes across borders. I can barely handle dragging them around my city arcades. Other countries? Language barriers? Bruh. Nah.

In lieu of my explorations, I'd love to receive mail from these countries if possible. You may DM for my info, I have a list of likes and interests on my profile for easy access!
