This is such a cool card, and all the way from Istanbul! I have to agree that being a gigantic monster with the ability to safely explore the depths of the sea would be so cool. The drawing on the front of the card reminds me of drawings in old Roald Dahl versions and I love it.

I hate that receipt paper is thermal now because the print disappears after a few years.

 

one of my favorite things is to look at old receipts while cleaning- like Marge and her potatoes, I just think they're neat. But now I'm not able to make out the date or even what was purchased! it's a goddamn travesty!

 

Also, what are the future-folks going to think of all our blank slips of paper, clipped to invoices or crumpled into little balls and shoved into our underwear drawers?

 

if you're wondering who the hell is even going to care, think of Nanni and his complaint to Ea-nāṣir and his inferior copper. We like being able to relate to people of the past.

 

i just think it's a bummer, I guess
