Here are some of my favorite content creators that I follow online whom I consider to be whimsical. Who are yours?

  1. Mychal Threets, aka Mychal the Librarian. Legitimately one of the most wholesome people on the internet with some of the coolest shirts, encouraging people to support their local libraries and read more books, and he also encourages mental health, especially after being diagnosed with AuDHD. He is also now the host of the modern YouTube revival of the beloved classic PBS series "Reading Rainbow", which has recently been renewed for 24 new episodes.

  2. David Larbi: an African-British man who encourages finding the joy and happiness in the little things. He makes videos of seemingly mundane things like getting a haircut or walking in the rain or breakfast, but makes charming poems about how it sparks joy.

  3. Alexis Nikole Nelson, Aka The Black Forager: when I tell you I LOVE this woman! Her little "one of these is poison and one is a snack!" jingle gets stuck in my head frequently. I just love learning about different plants from her. She makes it fun and playful.

  4. Sachiko Moore (sachikofairy): A sweet Japanese-American young lady who is living in Japan, she is like if a fairy made a wish to be human. But she is also like a real life Studio Ghibli character. She encourages her viewers to embrace a gentle, slow pace life, indulge in things that makes your inner child happy (she is also a huge lover of the classic Barbie movies) like wearing a tiara for no reason, or picking flowers to make yourself a pretty bouquet for your bedroom or living room, wearing a pretty dress just to go to the market to buy groceries, etc. She is just a delight.

What about you? Do you have any favorite whimsy-based content creators? I'd love to discover more. 💜

Whimsy Origami (sorry about the depressing lighting lol)

Credits to Jeremy Shafer. I've been making his models since I was a kid and they're so cool. The exact model in the video is the flasher supreme.

Our LFL in London

Our LFL has been up for a little over 6 months, and it’s wonderful to see it being used almost daily. Yesterday I added a Trinket Trade extension!

Upcycled Dept. Store display and boxing gloves

My friend got this table at a department store closing and gave it to me. I, of course, decided it needed paint and sparkles. The 10 y.o. Windys are my second pair of muay thai gloves and are ROCK hard. My 8 y.o. Yokkaos were probably still usable, but the velcro was shot and they were annoying to deal with in training.

I poured DecoArt metallic pouring paint on both the table and the set of gloves. I added gold glitter on the gold while it was drying and it made a nice glittery crust. If you're thinking what I'm thinking about the pearl placement on the rose gold-- yes. I saw it and couldn't resist grabbing some pearls and placing them as the glue was drying.

I also painted the underside of the original glass top with glitter and mod podge-- it looks best in the sunlight and I would bring it as a display for my craft fairs. Unfortunately the glue and the gloves bonded and started peeling. Luckily the big top was absorbed into my mom's garden ✨️ but I might have to take it back 💃

The exposed gloves make lovely arm rests while I'm crafting and I can hang my purse or bag off the arms. 15/10 always looking for more stuff to drip shiny paint on ✨️

Wind chimes indoors?✨🦋🌸

Before I moved to the city, I loved hearing wind chimes in my garden. I decided to hang one in my apartment 💖

what are the odds people will buy my handmade coasters?

Edit: I changed the name to @coffeecraftsnmore after some suggestions saying it’s too niche!

Hi - I just recently started my shop @coffeeandcoasters after years of wanting to. I landed on designing handmade diamond art coasters to start. I’m trying to promote on Instagram and Etsy but am having trouble getting traction and getting sales.

Do we think I will gain sales? If you have other ideas that could go with the diamond art please help a girl out. Any tips for a first time seller would be amazing !

They have a sealant over them so the grooves don’t get dirty and a cork backing.

Any tips of my pricing, shipping, design, and offerings would be nice.

A follow on Instagram would help too!

Thanks ◡̈

All I wanted for my 40th birthday was a tiny dragon wearing headphones and a studded collar. 🤘🙂‍↕️

Her name is Virevolte and she’s a ring, but as you can see, she stands on her own four feet as a little sculpture. I was thinking of getting her one of those miniature skateboards. 🐉🛹

Bedazzled Peeling Car Trim

My car is known for issues with the “chrome” peeling off the interior trim. Replacement parts were around $70, which seems silly for an 11-year-old car.
So…. I bedazzled it!

I used a UV resistant craft glue and two different colors of rhinestones, ranging in size from teeeeeny tiny to 6mm.

What do y’all think?? Unhinged, whimsical, or both?!

Girlies, how do you create more whimsy in other's life?

Like I wrote letters to strangers what else I can do. People are already suffering in life so I thought let's make their life a little better.

Slides found from 1977

Wanted to share some old slides at my grandparents. Most likely Southern California and the date on the back of the slides is “Jan ‘77”

Whimsical Punching Bag

Bought a cheap heavy bag and have been too sick the past month to use it. I've been thinking far too much lately and dripping paint on my stuff is always a great way to create art without worrying about doing it "perfect".

Now I have a shimmery sparkly heavy bag to punch joyfully 💃✨️

Lovely whimsical vacation

I’ve been snapping pics left and right of things that bring me joy or made me laugh. I’ve been off work for ten days now and tomorrow is my last day off.

I scrolled through my camera roll just to see what I got up to and it was really awesome. Getting to see all those fun little moments.

There’s a story behind every single picture 😂

The pic of the kid is me when I was 4. I was looking through my baby book and old photo albums a few days ago and thought I looked like such a goofy happy kid in this one. Been really trying to channel my inner child and do things I love!!

I was with my friends on a boat one of the days and I saw a lady in the distance with her puppy running around. We weren’t far from the shore so I swam out and told them I’m gonna go pet that dog. That’s what kid me would’ve wanted to do.
