Update: I’m finally making progress!

I’m finally getting better with my debt. My remaining balance is now down to $795.

For anyone who was confused by my previous post, I live in SE asia and $795 is still a pretty significant amount of money here. My monthly income is only around $150, and I’m still a student, so it’s definitely not something I can pay off easily.

I honestly feel relieved seeing the number go down this much. I still have a long way to go, though, so I’m going to keep working and try to pay off the rest without taking on more debt.

If anyone has any advice on how I can keep moving forward, manage my money better, and avoid getting into this situation again, I’d really appreciate it.

Hopefully I’ll be able to make another update saying I’m completely debt-free. 🙏

Student with $1,500 debt due in 3 months. What are my options?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 20-year-old male student.

I’m currently dealing with $1,500 in debt, and the problem is that I have to repay the full amount within the next 3 months, which is more than I can realistically afford while I’m still in school.

Instead of struggling to pay everything in such a short period, I’m wondering if there’s any legitimate way to borrow $1,500 with a low interest rate and repay it over 12 months instead. My goal is to use the new loan to pay off my current debt, so I’d only have one monthly payment to focus on. I believe I could comfortably pay around $125–150 per month (including interest).

I’m not trying to avoid paying what I owe—I fully intend to repay everything. I just need a longer repayment period and a more manageable monthly payment while I continue my studies.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Bocconi online test

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to take the Bocconi online test in September. For those who have taken it, how difficult is it and what should I focus on when preparing?
What topics come up the most, especially in math and logical reasoning? Are there any study materials or resources you’d recommend?
Thanks!

19, 1,3k debt, need advice

I’m looking for some advice because I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed by debt.

I currently have about $1,380 in online loan debt I know that might not sound like a huge amount to people in the US, but in my country it’s a significant amount of money.

My monthly income is only around $120, and the debt needs to be paid off over the next 4 months. That means I need to come up with about $345 every month just for debt payments, which is almost 3 times my monthly income.

Right now I’m trying to figure out my options. Has anyone been in a similar situation where their debt payments were much higher than their income?

I know I made mistakes and I’m trying to fix them. I’d really appreciate any practical advice from people who have dealt with debt before.
Thanks.
