so ive been locked in for bio up until this point and ive done nothing for world. on practice mcq one i got low 30s but for 2020 mcq 2 i got 43.

dbqs and leqs, i can consistently get 11/13+ if u combine them and i havent done much saqs.

i have done like nothing for review other than watch one or 2 heimler review videos. how should i study if i want a 5?

let me give you an example of a dumb mistake:

--------------

Which of the following is true about the structure

of the prokaryotic cell represented in the figure?

(A) It possesses cilia and lysosomes.

(B) It has a diploid genome and contains

linear DNA.

(C) It has a cell wall exterior to the plasma

membrane and contains ribosomes.

(D) It possesses membrane-bound organelles and

a flagellum.

-----------------

so the figure isnt really important. i would have chosen C but i thought it was saying the cell wall contained the ribosomes so i didnt choose C and got it wrong. how do i avoid these kinds of mistakes?

i know this post is kind of pushing the limits of "no question is a stupid question" so thanks if you respond

for the kids who have gotten 5s for previous years, what did you get on the official college board practice tests for both the mcqs and frqs

so currently ive done all 3 of the practice tests in ap classroom and looking back at it that probably wasnt the smartest. i got a 44, 49, and 47 (my friends somehow all get like 55+ and they said the only things theyve done is the progress checks 😭😭). my goal is to earn a 5. so far besides the practice tests, i did the first three units from barrons and the ap bio progress checks. i havent done any frqs yet, but our teachers giving us a full length practice frq set (2 long, 4 short) on monday. what is the best way to practice for a 5? for the mcqs, i feel like they ask questions based on the smallest things possible and even if i memorize the book, i think i would still do terrible. should i give up studying for the mcqs and focus on frqs and concepts as they are much easier to improve on? obviously i plan on finishing the barrons book.
also, how consistent is the 80% is a 5 curve for ap bio, and how close are the barrons practice tests to the actual ones?
