If we want to move forward, nostalgia is not the way.

If the rumours are true, potentially signing former players like Jimenez, then am I the only one who thinks that this would be a mistake?

What we actually need is young, vibrant and energetic players who can get us back into the top flight again. Not older players who we give a pass to because of nostalgia.

Raul was once a great player Wolves, and I share some of the nostalgia that his and Roman's presence brought last Sunday. However, Raul can't play as many games due to his age and inam unsure he can even play a full 90 minutes. So with that in mind, wouldn't it be way more sensible to go with fresh talent, and if we do have to bring in an older player for experience, we do so with players that have experience across different competitions in Europe that still have at least several years left in them?

We achieved this when we brought in Moutinho, still having a few years left in him to our benefit. Can we realistically say the same for either Raul, or even Saiss, if he was available to sign?
