What name of the classics should I be locking if I want it exactly like that?

For this does it get used automatically without us needing to click on it before we get a critical hit? And if yes do we need to have it on the four easy accessible tool slot? Can we just leave it the 6th slot that we have access through the backpack?

How do I get this sword? Also what is this cryptic Gatcha I am reading about sometimes in the world chat? I unlocked Hard mode already.
