I’ll be taking MATH1010 in Session 3 this year, but I might miss the first 2 weeks due to a family trip. Will that be an issue? Is attendance a hurdle? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s taken a Session 3 unit before.
Just got offered a spot for the Macquarie x BINUS Indonesia study tour and I’m trying to decide if it’s actually worth doing.
Only 12 students were selected from COMP2700 and COMP2750, so it seems like a pretty good opportunity. It’s basically 2 weeks in Indonesia doing industry visits/internships, working on IT projects, and collaborating with students from BINUS.
I’m studying IT and I’m mainly wondering whether experiences like this actually help long term. Does it make any difference for internships, grad roles, networking, resume value, etc? Or is it more just a cool experience and something fun to do?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s done study tours/exchanges or something similar.
P.S. It’s subsidised by MQ but not fully covered, so I’d still have to pay some out of pocket.
