The colors are a little washed-out, but the shirt is actually a very pale lavender.

Lanvin Paris... but it's kinda ugly

Found this Lanvin Paris tie in a thrift store, bit it's kinda ugly. I would only buy it for the name; I probably wouldn't actually wear it. Should I pass this one?

Hermès, Ferragamo, Zegna, Altea Milano

My local Goodwill had some amazing ties out today. They weren't especially cheap (these averaged out to $13 apiece), but I am still excited to find them. There were also some really high-quality Robert Talbott and J. Hilburn ties that I decided I didn't need. I am still mourning the damaged Charvet tie that I left behind.

Reducing the front rise on these pants...

We ordered these seersucker pants based on an existing made-to-measure template. When we created the fit template, we significantly reduced the front rise of the pants so that the customer could wear the front waisband lower on his waist. This fit template worked great for wool slacks, but these cotton seersucker pants turned out much bulkier than expected in the front.

Question: Would it be feasible to reduce the front rise even further by opening the seam below the waistband and pulling up some of the additional fabric?

Are there any other options that you might recommend to improve the fit of these pants?

Or would it just be better to cut our losses?
