People's reaction to the ending is disturbing

So I just watched the movie and really liked it, it really reminded me of the very moody storytelling of Robert Eggers' movies. And I really love those.

But coming to this reddit felt a bit disturbing, I see many "supporting" Dani and making a villain out of Christian. But Dani is a murderer in the end, where she's deliberating choosing Christian to be sacrificed. And I don't agree Christian is toxic, the dude has clearly fallen out of love and feels like he's just there for emotional support having already checked out of the relationship. For outsiders his behavior is irritating but it's still understandable. And he doesn't deserve to die so "Dani can be free".

I just got this piece last week and was pretty enamored immediately.

However, when looking it up on spotify, I felt pretty dissatisfied how most professionals seems to go extreme on the rubato. It feels like a constant starting/stopping every measure, just too much.

So I tried it a bit different myself, playing it like I play the Moonlight Sonata mvt 1, with a stable left-hand and only very subtle expressions.

Not sure what other pianists think about this.

Didn't learn the ending yet for people wondering.
