Free Improv Workshop Wednesday (6pm, Former Spaghetti Warehouse) - Show Saturday (7pm, Skillshot Pinball Arcade)! - Syracuse Improv

Hey all! Syracuse Improv has two events coming up this week.

First, we've got our regular Free Improv Workshop happening this Wednesday at 6pm at Click Stream Studios (689 N Clinton Street, the former Spaghetti Warehouse location.) Those happen every other Wednesday and they're a ton of fun.

Both new and experienced improvisers are welcome! We review the fundamentals of improv comedy and play some fun games. Then we get chicken tenders after at Tully's. It's a real hoot.

We also have our show Balls Of Steel happening on Saturday at 7pm! It's going down at Skillshot Pinball Arcade at 5949 E Molloy Rd. There are only 50 tickets available and the event is selling out fast, so if you want to come I'd grab tickets now! It's a comedy show with a music act happening at a local retro pinball arcade. It's gonna be awesome. Perfect for date night or an outing with friends or coworkers (if they're cool like that.)

The show features two Syracuse-based improv teams, The Syracuse Improv Players, and In Bad Taste. There's also a live music guest, The Seals Musical Experiment. You also get open pinball included in your ticket from 7pm-8pm. Should be an abosolute blast. Hope to see you there!

Syracuse Improv is doing a Pinball + Improv Comedy + Live Music show on June 6th - 7pm, Skillshot Pinball Arcade

Hey Syracuse, Noah here from Syracuse Improv. On June 6th we're doing a show at Skillshot Pinball Arcade called Balls Of Steel.

Skillshot is sort of a hidden gem in this city. When driving down East Malloy you'd never expect the building to have a cool retro arcade inside. If you needed another excuse to check it out, this is it.

The night includes:

  • An hour+ of open pinball
  • Two Syracuse Improv teams, headlined by In Bad Taste
  • A live local music act

Tickets are $20. Open play at Skillshot is usually $15, so for $5 more you’re getting pinball, live comedy, and music.

Proceeds go to the performing acts, Skillshot, and our newly formed nonprofit, Syracuse Improv. Our goal is to create a thriving and welcoming comedy community here in Syracuse.

There are only 50 tickets available, and they're nearly half gone. If you're interested, I'd grab tickets now to make sure you've got your spot reserved.

Hey guys, Noah from Syracuse Improv. Our next workshop is tonight at 6pm at Click Stream Studios, the former Spaghetti Warehouse location! Tonight's workshop is going to be on longform improv, and we're going to review and practice some of the most common forms you might see out in the wild.

Both beginners and experienced players are welcome!

It's a lot of fun! You'll learn some comedy fundamentals, get some stage time in front of a room practicing live comedy, and meet a bunch of cool creative people from around the area.

I put a silly amount of time into these lesson plans because I love this haha, so if you're free tonight, consider coming through!

In the near future we'll also be launching some comedy teams, as well as classes. If you're interested in either of those, you can come check it out tonight and learn more!
