I decided to learn sewing in my summer break. I'm using my mom's sewing machine and just started practicing making the stitches straight and right for two days. I'm looking for recommendations that what should I make to practice more or some tips that will be useful in this journey. I saw on Youtube that a tote bag is a good first project but I don't have the right material for it at home right now so any other recommendations regarding this would be appreciated.
