Hi all! My friends and I are in town visiting this weekend. We started walking High Street to check out the shops, and we didn’t get far before we noticed most places were closed.

Aside from the 4th of July events hosted by the city (fireworks, parade, concert,) is there anything going on?

I’m getting married in October, and I’d like to make my own beeswax taper candles for the ceremony. I’ve tried to weigh using a mold or dipping, and I think I want to go the dipping route.

What kind of large melting/dipping pot should I use? I was considering like a large stainless steel stock pot or the like. I’d like to make about 8-10 inch long candles.

Open to any suggestions! Thank you :)
