I love nature so I’m looking to involved in some capacity.

Of an old/broken electric hedge trimmer in Morgantown?

To keep from making this miles long, I have noticed a problem of pets being abandoned or neglected by students and transients, specifically leaving or releasing their pets upon move out.

I have heard of this happening 3 times this year alone. Once from my apartment complex, another post from a real estate agent, and another when speaking to a volunteer at PetsMart. I have helped rehome 3 stray cats solely from my apartment complex in the last 5 years.

If you have heard or have dealt with a situation of someone moving and leaving behind their pet, I would greatly appreciate you commenting or dming it to me.

Currently, I’m making receipts of the amount of instances this has occurred. I will be reaching out to rescues and veterinary clinics for any statistics they can provide.

My goal is to push for stronger animal welfare laws and mandatory penalties. Not only this, but I would like to use the information to potentially garner financial grants for the rescues/shelters, so that there are better options for those who need to rehome their pet instead of abandoning them, or worse.

I will eventually be making contact with the county commission and city council, but first I will need to have all my documents in a neat row. Any community feedback would be greatly appreciated to get started. Thanks in advance!

I have noticed several posts in here about people trying to make new friends. I currently put on events at several local bars and music venues. Wanted to see if their is any general interest in a making new friends event? I was considering doing a singles night event but would like to trailer it more to a meeting new friends event!

I just did brake work to my car and now I need to bleed my brakes, I simply don't trust myself to do it alone so I'm looking for a cheap shop or something to get it done

Hey everyone 24 year old male here. Looking fo fellow car enthusiasts/gamers to hang out with. Or just people interested in outdoors stuff along those lines. Im a father to a step son and daughter and im all in a committed relationship. All my friends have just kinda ghosted me, because I didn’t want to drink and stay out all night. Don’t get me wrong im more than willing to have a couple shots or what ever I just am not willing to drink every night.

Im so to go for drives and look at the scenery I know quite a few good stops.

I also have a garage so if your car ever needs wired on I’m down to have you come over and we can hang out and talk while we fix whatever the issue is I’m interested in going to car meets and that kind of stuff to.

I also live out in the country outside of fairmont so we can have cook outs, bbqs, or even fires I’m also looking at getting a pool this summer so there’s that too.

Edit— forgot to mention I’m also looking to get into gardening and getting a green thumb this year also so if you know stuff about that I’m down to learn.

Moving to a new apartment that charges a nonrefundable $350 pet deposit and $25/month pet rent. Looking to avoid this by obtaining a letter from a licensed mental health professional saying that my cat is an Emotional Support Animal (ESA). Does anyone have recommendations on professionals in town who can provide a letter? Also, if you went through the process with a local landlord, what was it like?

Does any one have a male orange kitten or know of someone that does? I’ve applied for over 8 kittens at the shelter and they keep getting taken or given to someone else. I never realized how hard it would be to adopt a kitten. It has to be orange that’s my dream cat. I’ve posted on the Morgantown Facebook page also but it’s the same situation.

I think Office Depot might take paper to get shredded but not positive, then I think the only place to dump bottles for recycle is still near the dump? They got rid of the westover one next to the park.

I’ve been here for several months now and have made ZERO friends. I work at the hospital and everyone seems so stand-offish and when you try to engage in conversation, they immediately shut the conversation down and give me dirty looks. I started there a couple months ago (I have several years experience as an RN) and was treated as if I was a new grad and didn’t know anything. I’m not incompetent and I know how to do my job. Any tips on how to navigate that? I don’t feel like I’m awkward or weird (maybe I am), but it’s making me very self-conscious and hitting my confidence. Any tips on how to make friends would be greatly appreciated.
