Demi did a hilarious presentation explaining why podcasts should be abolished. Then a bunch of unfunny people spend a longer time than his presentation arguing that, “having a ton of bad podcasts is good actually” in the least funny ways possible. At least one or two of the panelists seemed genuinely hurt by him saying “a pun title is not a concept,” and “It’s me and my friend and we just talk about X is not a concept.”
Anyway this is how I feel about MaxFun. Self-serious people with little creativity and an inability to riff that end up looking terrible next to talented comedic professionals and yet they somehow keep putting themselves in positions where you’re going to compare the two.
