MRP Parris Island - Questions
Hi,
My boyfriend was sent to MRP1 because he said he was limping at the end of his 3 mile run in time for his PFT and had a probable fracture in his hip. this was May 17-18 (I think) and he called his family that Monday and told him all of that. He also had something wrong with his ankle which I don’t know what but something less major than hip.
The first time I got a call was Saturday May 23rd around noon for 8 minutes.. and he said he’d been in MRP1 for 4 days, he thinks he’d come home before July because of his hip and the fact he doesn’t want to stay that long to recover, he’d rather just come home. Also said he’s in crutches.
The next call was Saturday May 30th 8:40 am but I missed his call in the morning due to work. He called me again at 7:02pm, but it was only around 3 minutes.
He just told me he’d be getting his MRI June 4th and that he’d probably come back June 20th or earlier. He said he’d call me again next Saturday.
I was waiting yesterday for a call (Saturday June 6th) but nothing. Asked if his sister or his parents were called but they said nope. Is it possible for him to call today? and if not then when should I expect anything? Is his estimate of June 20th or earlier feasible? Sorry about the long post, I just wanted to see if anybody else has been through this? If they experienced missed calls and got one later in the week, or if I wait till next week. And if he is medically discharged or what how long will that take?
