Mini breakfast casseroles
Seared some hashbrowns and threw in some sausage and cheese I had lying around. In our house it’s helpful to have a quick breakfast so I’m glad I can just reheat one of these for my partner and I every morning.

Sometimes when I have a disagreement with my partner and it starts to get tense, she will point out “I can tell you’re getting frustrated” or “let’s change the subject before we get into an argument.” For some reason that makes me want to explode even more, I know it’s illogical but it’s hard to slow myself down sometimes before I react.
I think I dislike her pointing it out because I don’t like her “naming” my feelings for me. I think it comes from an insecurity that I am not as self aware as her because I don’t have as much experience in therapy as she does and I feel “behind” in my emotional maturity compared to her. Typically in arguments my partner is the one who initiates the deescalation process and I’m supposed to be working on doing that too. But I feel like the first step to doing that is identifying when I’m angry or frustrated so I can disengage, self soothe, and repair. When she points it out it feels like she doesn’t believe I can do it and has to step in.
Does this happen to anyone else? Is there a way I can reframe it in my mind when she points those things out?
