Hey,

I’m an engineering graduate and somewhere in my final year I realized I’m actually way more interested in filmmaking and visual storytelling.

I’ve been shooting and editing short travel videos/reels, so I’m not completely new, but still pretty basic and trying to improve especially in cinematography, editing, and travel/documentary style stuff.

I know this field isn’t all glamorous and I’m okay starting small, assisting on shoots, learning, networking, etc.

I’m based in Mumbai and was looking for suggestions for:

* good filmmaking/cinematography diploma courses
or workshops
* institutes that are actually worth it
* places with good exposure/networking without super high fees

I’ve seen places like ZIMA, Mumbai Film Academy, etc., but would really appreciate honest opinions from people who’ve been through this.

Also, if anyone here has moved from engineering to filmmaking, would love to hear how you approached it.

Interested in directing, cinematography, editing, screenwriting, and networking opportunities too. Open to beginner friendly as well as advanced workshops.
