Flat Iron Arts Building open this Friday

Friday July 3 is a First Friday so we’ll have the building open with guest exhibitors, DJs and an open mic. Come hang out with us if you’re staying in the city!

We’ll also be open on Friday July 10 as part of the Wicker Park Bucktown Art Walk (which was moved from first Friday to second Friday due to the holiday). So if you can’t make it this Friday, come by next Friday!

And, if you are a local artist interested in setting up a table or displaying your art during our First Friday events, be sure to mention it to me or my husband in studio 304.

June 5 First Friday at the Flat Iron - and June 7 ACLU event

Hi friends! Next weekend is a First Friday so here is the line up for the evening. We also have an event that Sunday with the ACLU on federal abuse of power. Both events are free and open to the public.

If you are an artist in the Wicker Park Bucktown area, definitely come talk to me or my husband (we're in #304). The building is in a transition period so we've been bringing in outside artists for the night to give people more to look at and do. We'd love to connect with more local artists and feature your creations!

Hi all,

When's the last time you've been in the Flat Iron Arts Building at the Milwaukee/North/Damen intersection? We invite you to come check it out again every First Friday of the month when the doors are open from 6pm to around 10pm.

Come before or after your night out in the neighborhood for an extra free thing to do. Or make it your main event -- hang out and make new friends, meet other artists, get inspired to explore your creative side. We have open studios to check out, guest exhibitors displaying their work, DJs playing music in one area, an open mic in another area, and friendly faces throughout the building.

Here's the line up for this Friday, May 1.

And while your at it, you should check out the full Bucktown Wicker Park Art Walk: https://business.wickerparkbucktown.com/chamber-events/Details/wpb-first-fridays-1437633?sourceTypeId=Website

If you stop by the Flat Iron first, you get a map of Where To Go Next. Before I was part of it, the Art Walk was a great free date night walking around the neighborhood (with lots of places offering drinks and snacks too).
