Moving from Ireland to Poland with a dog? Courier services?
Hi there,
I am looking to relocate from Dublin Ireland to northern Poland (Pomerania region) with my dog.
I have heard there are some travel services that allow a passenger and a dog onto the service.
This dog is maybe 15kg, not sure of the breed - mix of terrier, maybe some pointer in her. She spent most of her life in the shelter and is understandably very nervous.
I would prefer a courier service where I could be there with the dog, for that reason. It would be easier too in the case that she doesn't let a stranger touch her while already in a stressful situation.
Are there any such services where you can go with the dog? Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't mind renting out a whole van or whatever needs to be done to ensure we get there safely.
I have looked into Forczek Trans Europe, but it looks like they are not accepting pet transport at the moment.
If there is no such courier service, is there a way to get from Ireland to Poland with a dog by air travel but with no layovers? What would the safest/quickest way be?
My biggest fear is that she won't let a stranger handle her and will end up stuck in a carrier for a few days if I'm not there with her.
If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know. It would just be a 1 time journey.
Thank you.
