Trying to figure out what this census “address” would mean today
I am attempting to locate a family member’s home using the 1950 census in rural South Dakota. The “address” listed on the record is “NW 27-22-15”
The enumeration district number is 53-18. I know that this is Flat Creek Township in Perkins County, SD, which only had a total population of like…49 people, and the household I’m trying to find holds 9 of them, so you would think it would be easier, haha. Usually, I don’t struggle with this sort of thing, but I’ve never really researched anywhere quite this rural and it still seems extremely rural today.
Thank you in advance for any assistance and please let me know if there’s any other information needed to solve this!
