I being from malwa region was made to refer it as ‘mamaghoda’ realised its merely a word from my imagination asked some of my friends and they do say its mamaghoda. My boyfriend speaks the puadhi dialect, was stupefied hearing it and i found it funny that they call a grasshopper ‘nakktod’ , says the word holds meaning as the insect is more likely to hop on our noses than somewhere else while its absurd that it is an offspring of your uncle and a horse whereas in some regions its simply called ‘tidda’ .
