I ordered the shelf that someone suggested. I am not concerned about how it may look, I just wanted to be able to play my records!
It does what I wanted. 🎉 All I need to do now is add some foam to the top edges of the shelving so the player doesn’t slide too much when I pull the shelf out or push it back in.
I need to create a pullout shelf for my record player.
I already have some MDF from another project that I can use to cut the shelf, and I will be buying the undermount drawer slides shortly.
My main concern is attaching the drawer slides to the bottom of the cube where I will be doing this modification -- is it fine to just screw them directly into the bottom of the cube (it's in a 5x5 Kallax on row #2 - farthest right), or should I be adding another layer of MDF or Fiberboard and mounting that with L brackets to the sides?
