Now that there’s G3 handhelds like the OXP3 out, do you plan to sell your Legion Go 2?

The OXP3 looks mighty enticing and it does seem like a genuine generational leap in performance, and has the same screen size of the LGO2. With that in mind and also devices like the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ out, wondering how many LGO2 owners plan to sell theirs?

Personally I’m gonna hold onto mine until it stops working or until new games I really wanna play are unplayable. I def have some FOMO and always want the shiniest best device with the best performance but it’s an endless chase trying to get the ‘greatest’ technological release every year something fresh comes out. Idk, spent a ton of time optimizing my LGO2 and it’s running everything I wanna play just fine for now.

Anyone tried Marvel Tokon on the Go 2?

If so, how is it performing? I know online is a mess no matter what platform but curious about its ‘offline’ single-player experience on the Go 2.

Which dpad do you prefer in the M12S?

I got the M12S fairly recently and I love it. The shield-y dpad isn’t bad, not the greatest but the clicks are satisfying and it’s still easier doing fighting game inputs on it compared to the abysmal joycon 2’s ‘dpad.’

The M12S also comes with the SNES style dpad, which I tried for a bit, but it started to hurt my thumb after awhile. Which of the 2 dpads do you prefer?

A lot of people say handhelds like the Legion Go 2/S Z1E 'can't play' or 'aren't good for AAA titles.' Do you agree?

I don't mean this as an incendiary post at all, but more asking honestly. Do you think handhelds like the LGO2 and Go S can't handle AAA games? I see this sentiment a lot.

As a former owner of the Go S and (very) recent owner of the Go 2 Z2E, it confuses me because I've been able to run games like Romeo Is a Dead Man (not triple AAA but still graphically-intensive due to UE5), Resident Evil 9, and Forza Horizon 6 reasonably well. Of course, I'm only able to get low-medium settings and the frame rate usually hovers between 45-ish to almost 60, but I don't interpret that as these devices being incapable of running AAA games? And with VRR and a much smaller screen, the frame rate and experience seems even more reasonable and just fine imo. It's just a downgraded version of what you'd experience on the PS5 or on a much stronger PC.

I didn't own any type of PC and didn't have access to PC gaming until I got a Steam Deck OLED in December 2024, so I think my viewpoint is biased since I've never had a high-end PC to contrast performance with less powerful PC handhelds. But lower performance =/= a completely unplayable, abysmal experience. That's the impression I get from the way I see some people talk about these handhelds either here or in the Handhelds subreddit.

I don't know, I guess as a long-time console gamer and someone who has usually been very late to adopt new hardware, I'm used to things like Bloodborne being locked at 30FPS and still being one of the greatest games I've ever played. So it feels confusing/strange to me when there's such vitriol towards lower performance on PC handhelds despite still, imo, being totally playable and enjoyable gaming experiences.

What games run better on Legion Go (1/S) compared to their console ports?

Question in title. What are some games that run better on Legion Go 1/S compared to say, their PS4 or Switch/Switch 2 counterparts, or even PS5 (doubtful but curious if anyone’s encountered anything)?
