Weekly Coco Comp #1

My 9 month old female is now comfortable enough to leave the enclosure every night! I will be posting a photo/video compilation of her every week from now on 🥰

Has this been a male the whole time? 🤨

Hello! It's been a while since I last posted anything. I have been making a lot of process with my geck since the last post and she now willingly leaves the enclosure every night.

Here is my approximately 9 months old (female?) leopard gecko named Coco. I've had her for around 5 months and even the seller I bought her off listed her as a female, and so I've been calling her a girl ever since.

I've taken these really overexposed photos of her underside and put them into Grok to find any health issues. Yes, I know AI might not be the most trustworthy source. Additionally, I asked Grok to identify her sex from these images and apparently its a male 🤔

I would like to get some clearer photos but I simply just don't know how.

I must know the truth of my baby's gender

Is my 7 month juvenile breathing heavily? She ate minutes before I took this video. I haven't heard her make any noise but she doesn't really leave her hide to explore and she has never been interested in my hand which means she has never been handled. I also have no idea what her belly looks like because I do not wish to stress her out by force handling her to get a better view.

She also always stays in the same spot. She used to bask on a slab of slate and rarely climb some sticks I have in the enclosure, but now she spends most of her time in the hot hide which is 32°c and the only time I see her leave is to go to her poop corner which is on the opposite side of the tank where it is 22°c.

She will sleep in her humid hide until 7PM before moving to her hot hide until I go to sleep and can no longer monitor what she is doing. I am waiting for a night vision camera to be delievered but that is not coming until the 22nd of this month. She still poops every 1-2 days and eats regularly every day.

I have booked her first visit to the vet just in case but the earliest they could do was the 14th. Please give me your opinions and help on this 😟
