They sent me a refund and now want me to pay again

I placed an order in March and finally received it on April 7th. Submitted a return two hours later due to the quality and dropped it off unworn and in the condition received on April 11th. I finally received a refund yesterday 5/19. This afternoon I received the craziest email I've ever received from a retailer:

Valentina here from the Levi’s® Leadership Team. We’re reaching out regarding your order XXXXX. Due to a technical issue during processing, payment for your order was not successfully collected. The outstanding amount that still needs to be processed is $xx.xx. In the coming days, you will receive a follow-up email from Levi’s with instructions to securely resubmit your payment information and complete the transaction. If the original order was paid using PayPal, we will request an alternative payment method to collect the outstanding balance. Please note that this follow-up email is legitimate and not spam. The email will come from EMAIL with the subject line “Your payment link.” We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this issue. If you have any questions or concerns, please reply to this email and our Customer Service team will assist you. Best regards, Valentina G.

I immediately called customer service only to be told that the only person who can help me is the mysterious Valentina because she's on the "leadership team". I don't have the item, they held my money for six weeks before refunding it, and now want me to pay again?!? I'm not sure why this should be my problem.

Has anyone else received this email?

I've been shopping at Levi's for 25 years and that will be my last time.
