Logistical Question Revolving Flight Tours

I have a strong interest in applying to be a pilot in various US branches. I’ve spent some time digging around on forums and found several mentions of how the Navy and Marines only guarantee you one flying tour, usually that being your first fleet one following primary.

Is this the case in other branches as well? How likely is it for someone to get shafted like that? Every veteran pilot I’ve spoken with has more than one tour flying. Is this one of those deals of a sour review floating to the top or is it really just random chance with the “needs of the x branch” after that first tour?

[Online][5e 2024 or open to others][EST Flexible] - New Player Looking For Group

Hey there,

I’m completely new but very interested in getting into tabletop games, such as D&D, but open to trying others as well. I was hoping I could find a group or DM who’d be willing to take me in.

I’m a fresh out of college 22yo male, so I have quite more time on my hands to try new hobbies. Unfortunately, I know no one who plays. I’m hoping I can have the opportunity to experience all the fun there is to be had with this community!

I have done narrative text-based roleplay for about eight years. I don’t think I’ll have too big of an issue transferring roleplaying skills over, but with specific tabletop aspects like combat, exploration, character stats, etc are new to me. I’m also not opposed to mature/18+ themes either.

Feel free to PM me if interested. Thanks for your time!
