Why isn't Ezra in the comments?

I've noticed a trend where the NYT writer who wrote a piece will engage with people in the comments section on NYT.

I've seen several of Ezra's guests do that as well, such as Chris Rufo or Bill McKibben.

I've never seen Ezra do this however. Has Ezra ever addressed why?

Does he view his Q&A episodes to fulfill that function?

Stumped by "Easy" SH question, please help

Question: A project manager is handling multiple projects in five different countries and is issued a new directive on workplace attire and office arrangements. This has been met with resistance in three countries, resulting in a series of misunderstandings, resentment, and potential legal issues.

What should the project manager have done to better handle this situation?

A. Asked senior management for clarity and exceptions before issuing a general directive to all countries. B.Evaluated the cultural and personal traits in the various countries before issuing a general directive. C.Determined the socioeconomic status of the team members before issuing a widespread directive. D.Obtained a list of personal preferences from the team members before issuing a broad directive.

Solution: B. Evaluated the cultural norms and values of the various countries before issuing a general directive.

I picked A.

The directive is coming from a higher level than the PM, so how can the PM have discretion to choose or not choose to implement it? They have to talk to the leadership about potential exemptions don't they?

Study Hall Rationale: Cultural norms and values vary widely across different countries and regions, and what may be considered appropriate attire in one culture may be seen as inappropriate or even offensive in another. Evaluating the cultural norms and values of the various countries before issuing a general directive would have helped the project manager to better understand the potential impact of the directive on each country and to tailor it accordingly. It's important for project managers to be aware of cultural differences and to take them into account when managing projects in different countries. By taking cultural differences into account, project managers can create a more inclusive and respectful work environment that values diversity and promotes collaboration.

The other options are incorrect.

Asking senior management for clarity and exceptions, determining the socioeconomic status of the team members, and obtaining a list of personal preferences from the team members before issuing a broad directive may also be helpful in certain situations, but in this case, evaluating cultural norms and values would have been the most appropriate approach.

Exam Logistics: Test Center experience and confirming appointment

My test is coming up in about a week and I wanted to make sure I am prepared logistically.

  1. Are we allowed to have our turned off cell phones in the locker? I could potentially store in my car but am concerned about the hot temperature causing damage.
  2. Do you need any PMI/Pearson Log in information when you get to the test center or is everything already set up for you?
  3. Besides your required ID, should you have the PMI ID and Registration ID with you?
  4. Is there a way to confirm your test date/time with Pearson or PMI? The email I received from Pearson about signing up for the test says 8 AM but on the PMI website it says 12 PM.

Replacement emissions sticker

Is there a way to get a replacement emissions sticker for my license plate? The one I have on right now (valid for another 8 months) is barely sticking on and looks like it could come off any moment.

I have my registration in my car but don't want to be hassled for it for no reason.
