Newbie compression reccomendations

Hi all, i went to the GP today about some mild new spider veins and she diagnosed me with mild varicose veins. They arent raised yet but they are visible and i do get some mild ankle swelling. I also think I have EDS which is likely the cause if so.

I want to start wearing compression to help my body but need some reccomendations. Most of my visible veins are from my knees upwards so im assuming leggings or tights are the way to go. Any ideas?

Payments / POS system

Hi all,

I am thinking of starting up a tuck shop at my work (an office). We used to have one and it was very successful, but the guy who ran it left and there is definitely a wish for it to return.

He used a card machine to take payments so this will be a must. I know there's ones for micro businesses like square, sum up etc.

My question is, which would you reccomend, and are there any that have a cheap / free POS system integrated. The square terminal looks like it does but I cant quite figure it out from the website or faq's or the costs involved.

Any ideas welcome!

Best conservative treatments?

I think I might have lipedema, when I get home I will add some photos to the weekly thread.

I am unlikely to consider surgery as a solution, and as most of my concerns are more aesthetic than anything I doubt id be accepted anyway.

So my question is, what are the best conservative treatments you have found success with. I have concerns with my upper legs and stomach. Ive read a bit about MLD, a bit about suppliments, a bit about diet and lifestyle.

I already lift weights 3x per week, and rock climb 3x per week. I also eat a mostly whole food diet, with lots of fibre. Im doing my best to lose fat, but its really stubborn. Any tips?

Mixed time cooking grains and veg

Hi, this might be a silly question.

I am looking to get an instant Pot, but before I do i wanted to make sure it is suitable for my needs.

I often cook rice, lentils, and peas together on the hob. These all have different cooking times, so get added into the pot on the hob in stages so they arent overdone.

Is this possible in a pressure cooker? Is it possible to open it partway through, add more ingredients and then carry on? Especially on the a rice/grains function?

Eg rice for a few mins, add lentils, then add peas, as they have decreasing cooking times?
