I put this one together as we were getting ready to set sail for Tural. It sort of gave me an Indiana Jones vibe at the time.

I live near a full Re/Supply store, and I always make a point of stopping by before I go to the main store. So before I picked up a few odds and ends at REI proper today, I went to Re/Supply to see if anything from my backpacking shopping list was available used.

I was planning to pick up a pair of waterproof hiking boots during the sale and had four options to try out, including this exact style of Lowa’s. I can’t imagine anyone even wore these. The original tags were tucked inside one of the shoes like someone had clipped off the tags then decided they didn’t want the boots anymore.

The best part: as I was trying them on, another member walked by saying he had the same boots and answered a few questions for me. If you’re out there, you helped seal the deal.

Great experience, and I think I’ve exhausted my Re/Supply luck for a while…
