What if Paradox simply remastered Bloodlines before committing to making a sequel?

Logically it seems like remastering the original BL first for modern hardware would have been a great step prior to deciding to create BL2. Why hasn't there been a remaster when it seems like it would have been both easier and cheaper than creating a new game?

crazy Lilly Bainbridge theory.

  1. Elfrida Marsh is actually Lillian Frida Bainbridge: She couldn't stand going by Lillian after all that had happened and using her first initial and middle name gave her a fresh start in High School. It also tracks that Ingrid would wander into her room after hearing something was wrong. AND that she's not a part of when IT comes back the next time. I'm sure this theory has been posited, but I have nobody to discuss it with.
