Why .8 so good?
Workmates who are .8 are always telling me it’s a better balance and it’s not that much less $. How so? Do you work .8?

Aside from sleep. What’s your must do advice?
Hi all,
For background. I am 52 an F1 fan and I’m selling my 2018 4x4 Hilux.
I’m looking for a reasonably priced car that’s genuinely enjoyable to drive. I can drive manual.
A bit about my situation:
Daily commute is only about 15 minutes each way. I enjoy taking longer drives on weekends and country roads.
Roads around me are generally average quality, with the occasional pothole and rough surface.
I’m prioritising handling, driver engagement, and decent power over outright practicality.
Prefer something that feels connected and rewarding to drive.
Budget is flexible but I’m looking for good value rather than a luxury car.
Cars I’ve considered:
Toyota GR86 / Subaru BRZ
Mazda MX-5
Volkswagen Golf GTI
Hyundai i30 N
Other suggestions welcome.
For those who have moved from a ute or 4WD into a driver’s car, what would you recommend and why?
Cheers
