Cursor keeps ignoring my rules, what am I missing?

Hey guys, can you help me?

I'm trying to understand how to make Cursor persist some rules or skills. I don't know where I'm failing.

I use it for some simple database queries in the terminal, and I have mapped everything and even downloaded schemas and some example documents. Cursor still keeps failing to follow that, and when I ask about the mistakes, it responds that it was because it answered too quickly and skipped some rules that we had documented. And it keeps failing on basic or simple things because of that "responding too quickly."

I've created some .md files for it to have and use as a reference, but it keeps making mistakes.

Is there something that can help me persist certain things? Do I need to call the agent or the rules in every message?

Most of the time I use it in Ask mode with the Composer 2.5 model, and I stopped using the Fast model.

I would appreciate any advice.
