Barbarian Totem: a rework idea for Barbarian Hut

So I've been thinking recently about the fact that Barbarian Hut still needs a rework. I would love them to replace it with the Barbarian Launcher that they did a while back, but it would be more like a copy of Mortar instead, so I tried to mix both concepts and I got this, the Barbarian Totem

The idea is simple: keep the 6 elixir cost, make it the structure with the highest health and don't make it a spawner anymore.

Similar to the rework of Goblin Hut the Totem will activate when an enemy is in range, but instead of spawning a Barbarian it will shoot him like a projectile, spawning a Barbarian when hitting the target.

Since the spawn rate per hit could be faster than the current spawn rate of Barbarian Hut the Barbarian on death could be removed or changed to something else, but I think it's a cool concept that could bring a second life to the Hut.

Clan Wars 3 Update! (I promise this is an interesting concept)

It has been years since Clan Wars 2 has been touched and… well, I think it's clear that it wasn't the best thing ever, so I think it's really time for Clan Wars 3 with major improvements, better rewards and an overall better experience, so let's get started!

Still a race, but with a twist!

The war will still be decided by a race between various clans, but here's a twist: you will no longer have to do normal battles, as the clan battles now consists of PvE battles!

Clan War battles against other clans and regular battles will be removed and you will instead play PvE battles where cards will progressively get better. Every member will have a chance every day to complete it, gaining an extra retry for the next round if they manage to survive.

If you lose you can still retry with gems, but it's not cheap: The first retry will be always 80 gems, increasing exponentially every time you retry, up to a maximum of 500 gems. You will have a small discount if you buy the Pass Royale (They have to monetize a little I guess). It resets back to 80 gems every week.

Every player in the clan will have their own route of PvE battles, giving more score the further they progress (example: after the 5th battle you will add 5 points to the score, 10 points if you complete the 10th battle and so on) and letting everyone play at the same time.

The maximum of score that can be obtained every week to win the race would shift between leagues:

  • Bronze: 300 – 400 score
  • Silver: 500 – 600 score
  • Gold: 700 – 900 score
  • Legendary: 1000 – 1300 score
  • Champion (new league): 1500 – 1800 score

Join forces and make your cards stronger!

Every time a clan war starts your clan will get a set with limited cards at low level that can level up slowly as you complete battles.

While every player will have the option to build their own deck it will be locked to the cards that the clan has unlocked, the more you use a card the faster it will level up.

Get ready for chaos!

The PvE battles aren't just random encounters, is it a battle for surveillance where strategy matters more than ever:

Similar to Chaos you will be prompted to choose buffs in middle of the battle that will boost your deck, it can be small changes such as increasing the overall hit speed of every card or increasing the range of cards with projectiles.

Every level will count with a final boss where a twist could be added to the battle. Some modifiers could be as moderate as not being able to place ground troops or as dramatic as creating a storm in your side of the arena that will frequently generate thunders. (The modifier will be prompted before initializing the battle so you can build a deck around it)

Every time you complete a battle you will be prompted to choose a reward, you can choose the following:

  • One random new card (chance of appearing depends on rarity, Champion being the rarest)
  • Small XP boost for a card
  • Give a retry chance to a clan mate (in case someone was close to beating a battle this can be useful)

Ending a battle will also reward you with Gold and Lucky Chests that will not count for the daily rewards, but it will not give crowns.

Weekend of rampage

Okay I kinda lied when I said normal battles were removed, but this is still interesting:

When a weekend starts (from Friday to Sunday) you will be able to fight with the deck that you built previously with other players, including the levels that you reached with them in the regular battles.

Every player will have the chance to do a PvP battle up to 4 times a day, however you will not be able to reuse the same cards after one match and will take in count your daily rewards unlike the PvE battles. The cards limitation is made since you will gain the double of EXP out of this battles.

The grand reward for the best!

The rewards at the end of Clan Wars are way too outdated, aren't they?

First of all now instead of having a reward every week you will have it only at the end of the war, the winner will be decided by the following criteria from most to least relevant:

  • Final score
  • Level of cards
  • Total number of victories

And finally, the top 3 will have guaranteed rewards, being the following:

(Assuming is in the Champion league)

  • Top 1: 35 Hero Coins, 2 Evolution Wild Shards, 3 Champions (gets converted into 5 Hero Coins per Champion in case the player can’t access Champions yet) and 6 Legendaries
  • Top 2: 25 Hero Coins, 1 Evolution Wild Shard, 2 Champions and 4 Legendaries
  • Top 3: 15 Hero Coins, 1 Champion and 2 Legendaries

Lower rewards will still be able to give some of the rewards above, but it will not be a guaranteed pull. Other rewards are mostly Gold, Cards and, in occasions, Gems.

Other stuff

  • The XP given to a card is proportional to the number of players in the clan and active members, making it possible for a small clan to compete with a bigger one
  • King Tower and Tower Troop level will be decided by your Card Collection in Clan Wars, so you will have to earn the level to stand a chance!
  • New players that join the clan when the war has already started will not count for the war until the start of the next week
  • The weekend battles will also offer different game modes similar to what we have currently
  • Evolutions are unlocked when a card with an available evolution reaches Level 12, with Heroes it would be Level 14
