Homer fund

From what I see on the break room tv, the Homer fund can cover "unexpected vehicle repairs." My only vehicle just went down and it's a $500 part plus labor that I just can't afford rn. How do I go about applying for that assistance?

What does "canceled" mean?

I put in for leave of absence a while back, a total of 7 days, and for a while, they all said "pending" bur now all of them show "canceled." Is that the same as denied or....? Do I need to go in and request them again or just go talk to management?

Lazy coworker

I have a lot/loader guy at my store and he's absolutely useless. He's part time and gets about 14 hours a week. He's about 19, his parents still drop him off at work and when you can get him to actually work, he's slow as fuck and unbelievably weak. I've never seen someone struggle to pick up a 60 pound bag of concrete like this dude. And worst of all, the dude will show up, bring in a few carts and then about 30 minutes into his shift, he'll disappear into the bathroom. I've seen him disappear for as long as an hour and a half, come out long enough to take his 15 minute break in the break room and then dip back into the bathroom for another 45+. He even has the nerve to tell other associates that he's "with a customer" when they call him on the radio. He also tried to claim one time that our supervisor gave him permission to sit on a stool behind self checkout for the duration of his shift because he "hurt his foot." That was promptly exposed as a lie (the supervisor wasn't even there that day) and he worked the rest of his shift like normal, which is to say he'd do 20-30 minutes of work and then disappear somewhere. He's been written up multiple times and management claims they've been "tracking his activities" but he still hasn't been fired and nothing about his actions has changed. Everyone in the store is aware of it and nothing has been done about it. Any ideas on how to push for some kind of legitimate action or even ways to make his life here miserable that he quits on his own?

Need extended time off

I've been with my store for about 5 months and I have about a years experience at a different store before this one. I'm one of 2 lot/loaders and I'm VERY good at my job. I have a lot of favor built up with cashiers and most of managment to the point that if i even mention quitting, they beg me to stay. I'm full time but I've got no vacation or sick days saved up. Next month I have a mandatory trip I have to take that will require me to be out of town for roughly a week. Is there ANY way to get a full week off without losing my job? Any kind of trick or loophole that either I or my management can exploit to keep me there? I'm 100% willing to lie about health or religious factors if that helps me out
