The older posts about calculating GPA are all so different and in my email to Brown I was told they count S with distinction as A, and avoid counting S as anything. I’m not looking to apply to graduate school but am wondering how people here would calculate their GPA to put on their resume for tech / finance adjacent roles.
So last week I conquered my fear and did my first ever solo flight, 6hrs from Boston to LA. The flight was super chill, a lil bumpy over the Rockies, but otherwise fine. However, I was SO uncomfortable the whole time. Clammy, adrenaline pumping, etc. By the end it felt like I had just fought a war.
Today I’m going on what should be (logically) a much easier flight, less than an hour in the in air going from Burbank to Santa Rosa. And on top of it, I’m going with my girlfriend! But for some reason I still feel so scared and unsafe. I’m afraid that I won’t even be able to get on the plane, especially since I’m not even familiar with either of the airports.
This is supposed to be a fun trip up north where we spend time with her grandma in a beautiful area and pick up a car, then I work in SF for a couple of days, and then finally we drive down the beautiful California coast. But I just can’t seem to focus on those things and am hyperfocused on the airplane and how scary it is to me. I’d love and appreciate any support!
