L.A. Georgie Porgies, have you got your tickets yet for 9/26 at Dynasty Typewriter?

The week of the Lucas Museum opening, GLTS is returning to Dynasty Typewriter for back-to-back shows that are likely to sell out before we even announce the guests!

Just want to make sure ppl are aware this is happening! We have been talking about the museum on GLTS since 2014, and now the "prequel era" of Lucas Museum GLTS is finally coming to an end!

The GLTSIS at DCM 2026 feat. Jason Mantzoukas, Katie Dippold, Paul Scheer, X Mayo, Alexandra Dickson & James III

George & Watto attempt to re-format GLTS for the new era of late night, by incorporating improv into the show.

6/11 in NYC (and livestreamed!)

George & Watto gonna do improv as DCM headliners along with some special guests (line-up subject to change and could involve some surprises!)

Can GLTS compete with all the other big name DCM headliners? IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN!

The GLTS pre-show playlist

I've just added the Mandalorian & Grogu score to the GLTS pre-show Spotify playlist, which is currently 74 hours and 6 minutes long.

We always ask venues to play it in shuffle mode, since it contains a combination of things like the American Graffiti soundtracks, every Star Wars or Lucasfilm thing I can find and various other things that have any kind of connection to George.

Sometimes venues hate this because some of the tracks are very quiet orchestral scores and others are loud rock & roll songs. It can be a real roller coaster.

Let me know if there's anything you think I should add.

GLPS poster

To everyone who bought a George Lucas Pitt Show poster on Friday night, thank you for rewarding our impulse that ppl would want a one-time-only poster for a one-time-only event show.

This show was very much a bonkers late night Del Close Marathon-type show, and I wasn't sure how the audience would take to it or how many ppl would want a poster commemorate the occasion.

I'm not even sure if we have any left, but if we do, they will be on sale at our Dynasty Typewriter shows in September.

Excited to be doing our first Star Wars Day GLTS show in 3 years, and it has me thinking in terms of "how many more NYC GLTS shows are ever gonna happen?"

We used to do 12 a year -- but now, in the post-pandemic era, we obviously only do a few shows a year in NYC in addition to a handful of special shows in other places.

After my near-death experience in January, and with my weekly Sunday night show, Raaaatscraps, coming to an end soon, my mind cannot help but wonder how many more GLTS NYC shows are, realistically, in our future! Five? Ten? Twenty?

Anyway: LOW TICKET ALERT for Monday!

There is currently an auction from the estate of Jerry Weintraub for items connected to The Next Karate Kid, and I'm worried I'm going to ruin myself in pursuit of these treasures.

The original bow & arrow the monks gifted to Julie Pierce? I'm locked in a bidding war and I have no way of knowing if the other bidder is a true NEXThead or just some dude with deep pockets who casually likes bows and arrows.

Advice, NEXTheads?

At least ONE of these lots contains enough that it would warrant another bonus episode of SHS, which may be enough to make some ppl in this subreddit root against a win. I know that TNKK discourse divides ppl, but I cannot help but be who I am, and I am a NEXThead.

Thinking specifically of any moments where something medical or medical/injury-adjacent might appear to be happening, like a bag of Peanut M&Ms being thrown at a guest's face
