Request: Ability for spouses to each have their own ability to categorize the same expenses in different ways.

My husband recently got a login so that we could both share our Monarch subscription to track and plan our finances. We started to have arguments about how to categorize spending. I'm more concerned with tracking expenses for budget compliance and tax purposes, but he is far more invested in future planning and wants to apply some of our expenses to his "buckets." It's hard to explain concisely, but one example is travel expenses. He has a yearly travel budget, but we have to buy a lot of those things months or even a year in advance. He wants to be able to either create categories so those expenses go into a particular trip, or at least the year we actually use the travel, not when we spend the money.

I realized that it would be awesome if we could continue to share and access the same accounts and data, but each have our own way of categorizing and tracking. The only other solution right now is to buy two separate subscriptions.

Unraveling lipedema: comprehensive insights and the path to future discoveries

https://www.nature.com/articles/s44324-025-00093-y

This looks like a great review article about where the research is on Lipedema, what is known and what is being studied, and overview of different treatment strategies.

There is a ton of interesting information in here but I think the Concluding Remarks has the most TL/DR value. Some snippits:

A crucial aspect of managing lipedema lies in the emphasis on clinical conservative treatments. These include dietary modifications, weight management, regular exercise, and physiotherapy.

Diet and weight loss strategies should not be underemphasized. The recent relevant article on adipose tissue biology and weight loss challenges the preconception that lipedema fat is entirely resistant to weight loss. This perspective suggests that while lipedema fat may be more resistant to traditional weight loss methods compared to other types of adipose tissue, it is not entirely immune to reduction.

Exercise and physiotherapy, including manual lymphatic drainage and CDT, can help manage symptoms and prevent further complications.

Surgical intervention is typically recommended for patients who experience significant physical limitations or psychological distress due to the disproportionate fat distribution. However, it is crucial that surgical options are considered carefully, with a comprehensive understanding of the potential risks and benefits.
