I loved Ryujin in this chapter so much- lmao, she was legitimately concerned
It's so interesting seeing how the internal monologue of these characters contradicts their actions, like... Ryujin thinks that even staying in Sayeon’s proximity is making her a bad person, _yet_ she doesn't miss a chance to check up on her (firstly examining her self-inflicted scar, and secondly following her to the bathroom) even when it could compromise the mission.
Sayeon thinks that Ryujin doesn't trust her, and probably Ryujin _herself_ believes the same, but at the end of the day... that's obviously not true. It's like their constant fighting and bickering always ends up bringing them even closer together.
They are both convinced to have no real affections left, yet even deities define them each other's "closest allies". Riujin keeps being the one to pull Sayeon back to her own humanity, Sayeon keeps being a safety anchor for Ryujin at her most desperate moments, and still- by saving one other they seem to drag themselves further together into ever growing dangerous paths.
_Ugh_- I could write a whole essay on this ship. I know people joke about toxic yuri, but - _come on_ - at this point it's too heavily teased not to be intentional. I know Sleepacross is snickering by herself while baiting the whole fandom 😭.
