How do you navigate transition period from relationship to marriage?
Hello ladies! I am in a relationship which from the onset we've agreed on having a traditional arrangement marriage. Currently, I'm self-employed so I have a very flexible schedule. Lately I've been working less and spending more time cooking, etc. Many times I go to the store alone and pay for groceries from my own account. But I'd like for him to pay for this more, especially since this preparation takes time away from my earning.
Also when I'm over at his house, I do dishes, make the bed, straighten a little, maybe one big clean of his stovetop or other 'project' every now and then. I would like to do more! But we're not married yet nor do we live together (although we spend a lot of time at each other's places), so I don't feel I can jump right into running the household before marriage without more provisions from him.
So my questions are - how have ya'll transitioned from working to managing the home? How did that coincide with the pre-marriage to marriage timeline? What differed in your relationship roles pre vs post marriage? How did you have those conversations around money?
I am only mildly nervous talking about money. He wants to provide, is generous and offers to pay many times which of course I accept. I think he likes for me to ask for what I want (ex - in bed this is the case). And I'm just looking for advice on how to navigate this or even just what to say.
