Underwatered?

Hi all,
Could somebody let me know please if this plant needs watering or if it is potentially overwatered?

My concern re. overwatering is that I’ve previously had a small jade which I think I drowned, all the leaves fell off at once and the stem rotted away.

I’ve had this plant a month and have watered thoroughly once. It’s been kept away from the window until last week as I didn’t want to shock/burn it in the UK heatwave because the room was like an oven! The soil is dry and the leaves are very soft, squishy, can be bent, but still feel full. I’m not really sure how to tell if a leaf is soft due to underwatering or mushy due to overwatering?

When I removed it from the pot some of the roots had started to grow out of the drainage holes but only slightly, would this benefit from a re-pot?

Court Associate Role - upcoming EO interview

Hi, I have an interview for a Court Associate role next week at a magistrates court (it’s a combined court now I believe, but my emails all refer to it as magistrates)

I’ve tried to research this role more but there’s only one paragraph on the HMCTS website which lists all the roles in a courtroom! I can’t see any posts here about it and anything I do find online all seems to relate to Australia. Does anybody do/had this role that can provide more information on what the daily job looks like?
